Pathfinders

President: Ms. Kim Long

We meet in room 201 of the Suzanne B. Wesley building.

The Pathfinders Class is a multi-generation class. Our members are between the ages of 30 - 70.  We have singles and couples in the class.

We study a variety of topics and authors with Max Lucado and Adam Hamilton being some of our favorite authors. We like to study books about currents topics and how the bible helps us deal with everyday challenges like stress and fear, how to pray, questions God asks us, as well as bible studies. Our class is an interactive class looking for input from the members on each week's lesson topic.

We sponsor WeCare the food and clothing pantry located across the street from the church behind the gym by working two Saturdays a month providing assistance to needy families as well as at Christmas. We have an annual Thanksgiving pie sale to raise money to support this important ministry. We purchase new clothing which is distributed each Christmas with the funds raised.

We would love for you to come join us in our journey to learn more about the bible and the plans God has for us.

Spirit Seekers

President: Randy Bunnell

We meet in the FLC on the 2nd Floor in room number 202.

Ages range from 40’s to 60’s

We have singles, couples, parents and grandparents.

We study books from known Christian authors that help us develop stronger relationships with our Lord and help us cope / excel with every day experiences. In addition, we will take a book from the Bible and just study that piece of scripture.

The bulk of our class are adults who have been members for many years @ HGUMC. However, having been encouraged by our Multi Cultural Conversations study, we have added new members from all venues and invite any and all to join us !!

Koinonia Class

President: Ray Cathey

We meet on the 2nd floor of the Asbury Building.

The Koinonia Class was formed in 1966 and many of the charter members remain.

We started as a young marrieds class but most of the members are now grandparents. We have around 20 active members of which most are active in church service and several members are involved in ministries outside the church. 

We use the Adult Studies Lesson Plans for Bible study. In the past we have used other religious books and literature such as many of the Adam Hamilton books and videos.

Cokesbury/Epworth

President: Joyce Dulin

We meet in the FLC in room 203.

Members of the class range in age from about 65 +.

We use the Adult Bible Study Series to guide us in our studies.

We have a social get together every other month (February, April, June, August & September). We enjoy going out to eat, plays and meeting for potluck at members’ homes.

African Sunday school - meets in basement of sanctuary in the Bridal Room.

Latino Adult Bible Study (Sunday school) meets Susanna Wesley Room 212.
